Bye bye, kitty!

My old cat Pus was put to sleep today. My mother took her to the vet after watching her slowly get worse and worse over the past months. Pus was old, she had a injury in the leg that didn't heal, she lost weight till there was nothing left of her and her face just lost that spark. She was clearly not well. The vet told us Pus' heart skipped beats and that she had water in her lounges. The muscles in her hurt leg was completely gone. I know she was in pain. Still it hurts like hell and I feel so fucking bad for letting her go. The guilt is really eating me alive. I have problems justifying animal euthanasia. I can't decide if it is humane or just plain selfish. No human have the right over another person's life and death. I do consider all animals "persons" as well. They have feelings, wishes and personalities. I wish animals could talk and tell us what they wanted... I guess it would be worse if Pus just didn't come home one day. Knowing she was out there in pain and dying alone. But I guess that is a selfish thought too. I guess cats hide when they are ill "to be alone, to die alone", to quote Donnie Darko. I guess it's the way they want it to be.

My beautiful cat Pus always slept in my bed when I lived at home. From the day I moved out, she never slept in that bed again. At same time as I vanished from home, she got an ulcer. Jup, a cat with an ulcer. It's been six years since then, still I feel guilty for leaving.

Dear kitty cat! I miss you! (picture taken this Easter while she was still kind of healthy. Had some meat on her legs, at least :) She's a cutie! )

It's been a bad news, bad news, good news, bad news, good news-day. Pej left to go way up north to visit family, I went to the library, then to the store to buy breakfast, I got home to find my wallet missing, I called the store who said they hadn't found it, I figured I'd called the wrong store (two of the same chain on same street), I went back and got my wallet, I went to the post office to get a cute envelope, my mom called with the bad news, I went home to open the really perfect RAK from Kine!

Kine, you made my day! Thank you so much! Everything is perfect! Love it all! I'm going to dig in to it today!

I declare the rest of the week "Scrapbooking-ice cream face stuffing-wii playing-pj wearing-doing nothing-weekend". Feel free to make yours the same :)

Wooha!

I managed to forget to blog again! Sorry about that!

News flash from the last weeks:
  • I've been spending way too much time by my self and watching way too many episodes of kind of crappy tv-series. Pej has been away on field trips with the uni. He'll be back around midnight tomorrow :)
  • Ellen sent me the coolest RAK! The stitching-rub ons were a godsend since I've got no sewing machine at the moment. Thanks sweety!
  • I haven't scrapbooked as much as I had planed... Mostly due to the crappy tv-series as mentioned above.
  • I've been planning a secret scrappbooking-thingy that I will have to start tomorrow. Can't share for a coulpe of weeks, but I promise to take pictures.
  • I got a really cool scrapbookrelated mail with more secrets that I can't share for a while. The kind of email that makes me smile for days :)
  • I've been to the movies to see Indiana Jones. As a girl who above all wants to be an archaeologist and a girl that has always had a crush on Harrison Ford, it's a must! I won't be as sharp as Kine, but I do also belive Spielberg should not have let his fascination for BEEEEP-SPOILERS ruin this movie! It was enternaining, though. With that good old Indie humour!
  • I had a sleepover with 3 of my 4 favorite cousins! Their little sister is still a bit young for sleepovers, but in a year I guess she'll be ready. You can see these cute girls in the LO below. It's made for Scrappemania's scRAPPED and is a lift of mo9ca.
  • I've gotten the grades from my two other exams. Another A! In maths! I must be such a geek!

Yesterday my mom came to town. :) It was really nice and we had a relaxed shopping spree around Oslo. She bought me a lot of cute new clothes and I am very grateful! It's been ages since something new found it's way to my closet. We had lunch at BareJazz. I love that place and was so happy to show it to my mom.

Speaking of my mom, here's the LO I did for Scrappedugnad's 3ndy challenge. It's my parents weddingphoto. The photo has lost most of it's original colours over the years, so I wanted to spice it up with a lot of colours in layout.

I've been tagged, so I have to blog again pretty soon I guess ;)

In honour of Doug (and Kine)

Kine just commented on my last post that Doug is her fave in Weeds after seeing season 3. He's mine too! And Pej's! So in honour of Doug and all of us, I post this video to show all of you why he is my fave! Look at him dance! (warning: this clip contains a lot of s**t! lol!)

Sorry!

Sorry I didn't post anything on friday! I got a migrane :( Shouldn't be suprised that I did, as most of my triggers were there, but still :( For the first time ever, my migrane lastet over night. I've considered myself lucky that as long as I get to sleep at night, I will wake up all better the next day... A lot better today, though. But I missed out on a birthdayparty last night and I am so sad I did!

Enough complaining!
Last friday I took a class with Xtine! I've never taken a class before, and now I'm thinking of hiring Xtine to be at my house whenever I scrapbook. I want her to find the paper I should use, tell me how to cut it, place everything in a cool and balanced order and tell me to glue it down! I really feel I could use that from time to time! In other words, I enjoyed taking the class! Here's two of the layouts I made. The last one isn't finished yet. I'll share more later!

I've also scrapped a layout for the scrappers choice challenge at Scrappedugnad. I used a stamp that I drew and Pej carved out of an eraser.

Now I'm off to enjoy my headache-free day. I don't dare to go outside in the very bright and hot sun, so I'll stay in my room and scrapbook! Got to finish a layout for the 5-kamp at Minneriket!

Have a great sunday! Thank you for stopping by!

Proud!

Last exam done! I've officialy got summer break! Feels really good! This last year I've worked so hard at school. So good to see the results. I think the maths went well today, I don't really care about the stupid Norwegian-stuff I handed in on thuesday, and last thuesday's oral exam in pedagogy went really well. We're talking reaaaaally well! I'm really proud of myself. Without daring to tell anyone, getting an A was a goal of mine this year. Now I can tell and also say I got just what I worked for.

A bit sad today. Took this photo, uploaded it to find my camera is officialy skrewing up! A couple of months ago I noticed red dots in my pictures. Seems it's spread and now it makes a ugly line right across the pictures :( Not even two years old! And I love this camera! (and there is no way I've got money for a new one) Guess I should take to the store and hope for a very cheap repear...

I'm scrapbooking tonight! And I've got more to share that I've got no energy to write now! So I'll be back tomorrow!! Again! Man, this is so unlike me! :)

After a stressful day of tutoring the mail i found when I got home was a god send! I won a rak over at Scrappedugnad and I got it today! Scrapp og Lapp sent me the new papers from Dream Street Papers! I'm totaly in love with them! And she even sent me lots of Bazzill bling! I love them too! I'm a big bling fan and the colours are so ME! Thank you so much Scapp og Lapp and Scrappedugnad!

Tomorrow the school I'm interning at moves the school into the woods. Lots of fun and different learning. Norwegian folk tales is on the menu and the only preperations I've had to do today is learn a fairytale. So I've cleaned mosted of the house this evening. Now I want to make a mess again on my scrap space... But I guess I should go to sleep instead...

So I'm of to bed! Just have to take a couple of soy hot dogs out of the freezer so they are readdy for the camp fire tomorrow! Yeay! And I want to share a couple of layouts as well. First one is the new sassafras papers -I LOVE THEM! Pictures are from this easter! Good times! The others are made for Minnopol. The first is one of many layouts with underwater photos from Barbados. I used Jolies on this! Oh my! Second is made to illustrate how much of a geek I am! While making dinner in the kitchen, I use our blackboard to explain a mathematical theorem... Well of course...

Support your local labelwhore!

Hello! Hope everyone had a great easter!

A couple of weeks ago I found the best little letter in my mail box! Kine is the best! She sent me a "team KC" button! I love Kristina Contes' layouts. She might not be very "local", but she's the only labelwhore I'd support and therefor the most local as well, I guess! If there was a Team Kine, I'd join in a second! She is a great scrapbooker and cardmaker, the sweetest person and such a great RAK-sender as well!

Pej and I got home from a week in the mountains yesterday. A great week of snow, food, reading, planning lectures, crafts and even some relaxing. I'm way to lazy to pack up scrapbooking supplies and bring up there, so this year I though I'd try needle felting. It was really fun and simple! I wasn't supprised that Pej liked it too, and together we made a cute pink easter rabbit. It hasn't gotten any eyes yet, poor thing. I also had miles and miles of yarn with me and a couple of crouchet needles. You can see everything made during easter in the photo :)

I god some scrapbooking done before we went as well. The one named "stolt" ("proud") is for Corrines challenge over at Scrappedugnad. I am really proud of what I've accomplished at school the last months. Both regarding a change in me and the level of my grades and motivation. The other layout is for Minnopol. I used a lot Jolies that my mom bought me! I thought I'd never see the day... Last one is the first page from our Barbados album. It's for Minnopol as well.

Tomorrow, it's all back to normal! I'm playing teacher at a school as part of my education. The time has come for teaching the 6 years olds the letter/sound "J". I think I have come up with a couple of fun lectures! :)
Have a nice monday!
